Why Raising Your Visibility Matters, And How To Do It

If you’ve ever worried that raising your visibility online is a vanity metric, or told yourself you 'don't have time' to show up online, yet you secretly know you're destined for bigger things, here’s the truth: visibility is a catalyst for change. It’s how every modern movement begins, and how YOU can make a difference. I'm going to show you how...

That was the energy pulsing through our 15th Rosie's Reinvention Retreat on Friday – a day dedicated to How to Raise Your Profile and Build a Community. This wasn’t about performative posting or exhausting yourself trying to “keep up” with the endless social media scroll-a-thon. Noone has 7 hours a day to dedicate to this. It was about becoming known for the work you’re here to do, with clarity, confidence and intention. In other words, it was about making sure you’re no longer the world’s best‑kept secret.
What I’ve Learned From 25+ Years Behind the Scenes
Across my long career in the media, I’ve interviewed and documented the lives of some of the world’s most successful and influential people. I’ve sat with them in their homes, backstage at events, in green rooms, offices, photoshoots, interviews… and what has always struck me isn’t the glamour - it’s the patterns. Because once you’ve observed hundreds of high‑profile people up close, you realise something important:
Visibility is not an accident. It’s not luck. It’s a set of behaviours – habits – practised daily.
And the best news? Those habits are learnable.

Women like Jo Malone CBE, Kelly Hoppen, Trinny Woodall, Mel Robbins, Candice Bathwaite, Mary Portas, even Oprah Winfrey… wildly different personalities, industries and stories. But how they build and sustain their visibility is remarkably similar.
Visibility is simply about being intentional with where you put your effort.
And that means it’s available to every single one of us – whether you’re building a business, leading a team, launching a project, or embarking on a reinvention journey to step into a bigger version of yourself. Whether you have time to show up online once a week, or once a day, the tools are the same.
Introducing the V.I.P.S. Framework
Last Friday, for the first time, I shared the four‑step framework I’ve developed from two decades of watching these women in action. It’s simple, powerful, and works whether you’re just beginning or ready to level up. I call it the V.I.P.S. Framework, and I'm delighted to share it with you here too.

This is the system that turns ordinary professionals into visible, influential, trusted voices. Our guests left with clarity on their message, their niche, their presence strategy, and the unique value only they can offer. And yes – we rose together. And we laughed a lot. Because visibility should feel joyful, energising, and within your bandwidth.
Thank You for an Electric Day
To every guest who joined us at the iconic Corinthia London – thank you. Your openness, courage and support created a room that felt electric from the moment we began.
Huge gratitude to our phenomenal speakers Rosie Dalling and Andrea McDowell, who brought wisdom, humour and practical insight. And to my wingwoman Ally Oliver, who brings heart to every single retreat.
To our fantastic sponsor RBC Brewin Dolphin and Aisling Wilson, whose holistic approach to reinvention mirrors everything we stand for.
To BUY WOMEN BUILT and founder Sahar Hashemi OBE, whose support proves that when women join forces, we move entrepreneurship forward faster.
To Charlotte Weatherall and the entire Corinthia London team for delivering seamless magic behind the scenes.
And a special shout‑out to our goodie bag partners – The Better Menopause, Summerdown, ainslie + ainslie, Bramley, Sienna X, Nicola Matthews, Kathleen Whyman — and to Inga Lovric‑Kemp for filling the room with the most uplifting scent from Illuminate Candles. The “small” details matter.

This Energy Doesn’t End When the Day Does
The conversations sparked on Friday are now rippling outwards, into businesses, communities, families and futures. Because when women claim their voice, identity, presence and service – their VIPS status! – movements begin.
Here’s to rising together.
